ABOUT US

Since childhood, I’ve always felt a quiet, instinctive connection to pigeons.
While others dismissed them, mocked them, or chased them away, I watched them — attentive, resilient, endlessly present.

Even then, their fate felt unfair to me.
Persecuted, misunderstood, reduced to a nuisance because of what they leave behind.
That injustice stayed with me.

Years later, everything became clearer when Pistilia entered my life.
I rescued her as a fallen baby pigeon, right on my doorstep.

I rescued her as a fallen baby pigeon, right on my doorstep.
Sharing my daily life with Pistilia revealed a truth I had never questioned before.

The infamous droppings — so feared, so demonized — were not a problem at all.
They were easy to clean, odorless, almost delicate.
Tiny abstract forms, made of swirling lines, insignificant compared to the joy, affection, and quiet presence she brought into my life.

What society condemns suddenly felt absurd.

From that contrast, Pistilia the brand was born.

From that contrast, Pistilia the brand was born.
A brand created to challenge disgust, restore dignity, and transform rejection into adornment.
To elevate what is despised.
To sublimate what is blamed.

In many cultures around the world, bird droppings are seen as an unexpected sign of luck and prosperity — a blessing falling from the sky, an inconvenient but divine reminder that abundance often arrives in disguise.

In many cultures around the world, bird droppings are seen as an unexpected sign of luck and prosperity — a blessing falling from the sky, an inconvenient but divine reminder that abundance often arrives in disguise.
Pistilia turns that belief into form.
Each piece is handcrafted and upcycled, designed as a small talisman of chance and good fortune — a symbol of grace where none was expected.
Pigeons are not pests.
They are survivors.
Messengers.
Urban saints in feathered disguise.

And because Pistilia exists thanks to them, part of our profits supports organizations dedicated to protecting and caring for urban pigeons.
